"As a Jewelry Designer, my love is to create expressive one-of-kind jewelry by taking inspiration from Mother Earth’s natural gems, stones, crystals, and metals.  I have an Etsy shop where I sell my work, you can find it at  www.etsy.com/shop/designsbykatiri.  I find so much delight going on adventures to collect my own agates, gems, opals and more to use in my designs.  I began silversmithing in 2003 at the Craft Guild of Dallas where I acquired skills over a couple years in fabrication, precious metal clay, enameling, stone setting, casting, wire wrapping and more.  I then worked professionally as a Bench Jeweler Apprentice for over five years in a retail jewelry store.  From there I joined the Arlington Gem and Mineral Club where I learned how to do lapidary work such as faceting, cutting my own cabochons for jewelry and I took advanced silversmithing classes.  For several years I lead and taught a variety of casting classes and wire wrapping techniques there.  I have taught a variety of different classes at other places and I enjoy teaching and sharing what I have learned with others. I've been designing and creating beautiful, one of a kind metal jewelry for over 13 years.  I use precious metal wires, natural gemstones and a lot of imagination, patience and respect for Nature, in all of my designs.  I blend wire techniques to create my jewelry, using only hand tools and the stone.  There is never an adhesive or solder used in my wire work (while I do use soldering techniques in my other lines).  I love to share this Perfectly Twisted form of art and so began teaching six years ago.  I give class all around Denver, Colorado and I sell my design patterns and physical jewelry world wide.  Please check out my jewelry, my teaching schedule and my digital tutorials at my website: https://www.perfectlytwistedjewelry.com/shop.html

I am excited to be teaching my 3rd year for the Colorado Mineral and Fossil show!
