Foothills Prospectors was established in Golden as a Colorado Chapter of the Gold Prospectors Association of America (GPAA) in 2010. |

Our Mission :
To share our knowledge with members and the public in all aspects of gold prospecting and treasure hunting through education and adhere to the Bureau of Land Management, US Forest Services, and US Army Corps of Engineers laws and regulations. Our goal is to increase public awareness of ecologically in small-scale, recreational mining; its history/future and the importance of mineral extraction. Fostering comradery amongst a shared interest in gold prospecting.
Our organization motto is : "It's not what you find; but the adventure of finding it!"
